IDA Thiruvalla celebrated Onam on Sunday, 22nd August, at the Rotary Club Hall of Kozhencherry, Thekkemala. The Covid restrictions could not dampen the festival spirits as WDC members hosted a fun-filled day with cultural activities and games in keeping with the covid protocols. A sumptuous Onasadhya too was arranged for the members.
Official release of the IDA Thiruvalla Directory was done by Dr Samuel Ninan, Past President of IDA Kerala State.
Our District Committee members met and congratulated the Health Minister, Smt. Veena George and shared our concerns regarding the Clinical Establishment Bill and also about the quality, availability and increasing prices of essential medical commodities.
Our President Dr. Simon George, Past State President Dr. Samuel K Ninan along with the office bearers from IDA Pathanamthitta branch and IDA Adoor branch held successful talks with the minister at CPI(M) district committee office at Pathanamthitta.

IDA Thiruvalla branch officially signed and exchanged a mutual agreement with St.Thomas Hospital, Malakkara, as a CFLTC for our branch members and family.
IDA Thiruvalla branch E-journal "TAPER" was released online by Prof.Dr. Anjana G. (IDA Kerala State Journal Editor) via Zoom platform.
"CHALLENGING THE CHALLENGES"- An inspirational and motivational interactive session for young dentists was held at Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences, Medicity, Thiruvalla. The programme was a stupendous success with participation of around 85 doctors. Dr. Biju Thomas and Dr. M.S. Balakrishnan were the faculty for the day.
